Where it feels just like home!
According to the dictionary, home is:
Welcome Home!
Haywood Hills is a community-oriented church that believes in families and family values. We want to be your partner in building strong families and in preparing your children for the future. We have a place for you in our church family. With Christ to empower us, we can make a difference in our community and the world.

Sunday Evening - August 3rd - 6 pm
An Evening with Rick and Laura Hall
Laura Hall will perform selections from her contemporary Christian CDs. Her husband, professional actor Rick Hall, will share stories from his one man show "Pigboy," inspired by his life growing up on a farm in Central Illinois. Vickie Evans, a soloist at Haywood Hills (and Rick's sister), will also perform.

Rick and Laura met in Chicago where they were both performing with
Second City.

You may remember seeing Rick in police uniform on Cold Case, or in a Navy uniform as the Air Boss when JAG did a show on an aircraft carrier, or as a paramedic on ER. Or it could have been dozens of other shows. He is one of those character actors that you remember the face, but not necessarily the name. Or if you watch Factory on the Spike network, you might have seen him there (current short run summer replacement).
You may have seen Laura as a caroler (with a group from her real life church choir) in the movie Christmas with the Kranks. And of course you have heard our own Vicki Evans singing her Woman of Faith. Or if you have children, you might have heard her music on such albums as Roger Daltry's Wheels on the Bus video series. But then again there is probably a network channel right now showing a rerun of Whose Line is it Anyway? where she was the piano player and band leader. |
